Messrs North and Sconllar, of Dunedin, have protested against being awarded only second prize for drawing room suites.
At a meeting of the Executive Committee to-day, the secretary was instructed to ascertain the probable cost of keeping open the Exhibition during November. A report on the subject will be presented at the meeting to be held to-morrow.
A heavy gale this afternoon dislodged two or three sheets of galvanised iron from the roof of the Exhibition just over the main entrance. The detached plates passed along the roof of the building and were the means of breaking a few panes of glass on the roof, but no further damage resulted and repairs weie at once affected.
