AUCKLAND.
This day. Mr Wm. Flood, secretary of the Auckland Club, while returning from the hunt on Saturday evening, was thrown from his horse in the Kyber Pass, and was picked up unconscious. He remained unconscious, and died early this morn' ing. A fish curer named Skipping was found dead in a stable yesterday afternoon. Apoplexy, from drink, is the probable cause of death. The Si Louis Murder. The Herald publishes a letter from its 'Frisco correspondent referring to the St. Louis murder; it states that a rumor is current that Maxwell has made a written confession of the murder, but the rumor is questioned.
