CHEAiP BREAD. ", (To tlio Editor of the Evening Star.) Slß,~By your paper of Saturday I see that a Mr Turrell has had the courage to open a bakery, and that he intends to supply the public with cheap bread and •mall goods; so far good. The people here are so divided that anything in the cooperation line is almost an imposai* bility; their divisions blind their eyes to anything for their general advantage, and so the monopolists hare it all their own way, I wish the new venture success* and know it can be done here •■ well as in Auckland. In these hard times everything io the provision line should be sold as cheaply as possible, or how are nen with families honestly to pay their way? If Mr csl !at the Stab Office he will there find a packet containing some* thing that may be useful to him.—l am.
