Medical — FIRST PEIZR A.A. ahd P.A. EXHIBITION 1883. — £1,000 REWARD.—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOB CLEANSING. PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. THE Proprietor, in explaining why he ha* not for some time pushed the tale of the abort, would state that he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and b» ba« not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able t« satisfy all the local and foreign demands, aud was unable to administer a* extensively as he could have desired to the wantß of a suffering world. MR HITCHENS is now happy to state that he is once again in a position to supply this health-giving Medicine, which lie is convinced will, " with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to it* irresistible yet gentle operation. In coming before the public and pluntiug his standard once more on the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind—i.e., ticknese—be trusts that an overruling Providence will bless biß future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimoniale received by Mr Hitchens, one of which is from one of Auckland's beet known citizens. It requires no further comment than to say that bis illness wqb of a most severe tjpe, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the belter. Here is what Captain Fabqtthab says of HITOHBKS' BLOOD RESTORER :— Anckland, October 15, 1883.—Dear Sir,—For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for three months I completely recovored my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknow ledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabquhab, Matte* Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. Ihe Proprietor would here intimate that £1.000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Instituticn if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. Ihe Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons wbc dispute the veracity of testimonials., and be will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is oleo willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patientt and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the cases quoted.- Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but thon personal Bcknowlodement would add increased brilliancy to the iaae of the medicine. Mr Ai.ex. Eaglkton, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with a paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pro* nounced the caee hopcleee, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he waa induced to give Hitchens's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better; and on continuing to take the medicine, be was completely restored to health and strength. Mr D. R. Chiseoih, Agent for Mr Hitohehb.—Dear Sir,—lt iB with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitcbens'e invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Dieher, who spoke in eulogistic Mr mo of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and aba is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting to beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should impress upon these who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me« yours very sincerely, IHOMAB BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Mareiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. E. HITCBBMB.—Sir,—I bad been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improve* ment, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, ond am proud to say after four bottles and the uee of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, amd give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MOB GAIN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off "Wellington street, Auckland, Dee. 1,1882. Mb Hitcheke. —Dear Sir, —As you have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to uee your Blood Bestorer, and the effect it had on me, I will eimply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis thai made me co helpless, I do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted like a bnby, and my taste wob entirely gone. .Dr i said I had an affection of the Bpine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another rc.edical man to see me, and I was told that I would probably live only a ihcrt time, and it was no use of their holding out false hoj/es. I thanked tbem, and felt bs they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take 15r Kitchen's Blood Restorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, 1 begun to feela change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle itemed to be doing me more gcod. The result is that after using eight bcttlet, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all tho housework, and feel quite as well as when I first came to ttew Zealand five years ago. I am always happy to tell people the gocd you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well aod hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA BICOL. Witness— HENRY HARTNOLL, Kelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to. the perfect accuracy of the above statement. —N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A« H. Collis Bbownb's Chi.obodyke, has earned for itself, not oaly in Hindustan, but all aver the East. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether a better is imported into the country, and we shall be glad to hear of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, we are bappy to say, are now relegated to ta* native bazaars, and, judging from their Bale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply instances ad inftnil mof the extraordinary efficacy of Db. Collis Bbowke's Chlohodynb in Diarrhoea and Dyt,?ntery, Spasms, Cramps, Neuralgia, the Vomiting of Pregnancy, and as a general sedative, that nave occurred under our personal obaervation during many yeare. In Choleraic Diarrhoea, and even in the more terrible forma of Cholera itself, we kave witneaaed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of this medicine than Coliis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it is decidedly the best, and also from a sense of duty we owe to the profession and the public, aa we are of opinion that the substitution of any other than Collis Browne's is a BBlS^bbaxb BBEAOH OF 7AITH ON TH3 PAET 07 THE CHEMIST TO PBEBCEIBBB AMD PATIXffT XUKM, We are, sir, faithfully yours, Symes and Co., Members of the Pharm.
