Sydney, Yesterday. The U.S.B. Co.'s Waihora arrived this afternoon from Auckland. The debate on the amendment to the Address-in-Eeply was resumed to-day in the Legislative Assembly, and will be continued Eome time. Monday. It is announced that the new cable rates from Europe will be 2s 8d per word for press messages ; and 8s lOd per word for private telegrams. The cable-repairing steamer Sherrard Osborne arrived here from Singapore, and i proceeds to Tasmania to lay the duplicate cable between that colony and Victoria, after which she goes to New Zealand to repair Cook's Straits cable.
