Medical — FIRST PRIZE A.A. , Jtn> P.A. EXHIBITION 1888. — £1,000 REGARD.— Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GEEAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOE CLEANSING, PUEIPYING, AND INTVTGOBATING THE BLOOD. f|\HE Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for some time pushed the sale of the abort, X would state that he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and h» baa not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able to Mte;tft all the local and foreign demands, and was; unable to ndttinister at extensively aa he could have desired to the wants of a suffering world. MR HII CHENS is now happy to state that he is once again in a position to supply this health-giving Medioine, which he it oonvinced will, " with the bleseing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. In coming before the public and planting hit standard once more en the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind— i.e., sickness—be trusts that an overruling Providence will bless his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In thit evening|s Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, oae of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than to say that bis illness was of a most severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here it what Captain Fawjuhab says of HITCHKMS' BLOOD RESTORES, s— Anckland, October 16, 1883.—Dear Sir,—For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for three months I completely recovered my health. I may say.l had no faith in it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknow* ledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabquhab, Master Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. The Proprietor would here intimate that £1.000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons wbr dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. " He is alee willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the "^ cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknbwledement would add increased brilliancy to the fa re of the medicine. ~ Mr Aiex. EaQxsiok, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with a paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pro* nounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, 1 when he waa induced to give Hitchem's Blood Restorer a trial, tbe result being an immediate change for the better; and on continuing to take the medicine; he was completely restored to health and strength. s A Mr D. R. Chibhoik, Agent for Mr Hitohehs.—Dear Sir,—lt is with heartfelt thankt I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Dieher, who spoke in eulogistic Nrms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatio Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine hae acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and the is making rapid progreeß, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting to beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should imprest upon thete who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAS BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882* To H. A. H. Hitchehs.—Sir,—l had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improve* merit, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, amd give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. ■. :v , r ...,-.:■. ? : :^Tv ; Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Mb HITCHBKB.—Dear Sir, —At you have aeked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to uee your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had? to be lifted like a baby, and my taste was entirely gone. Dr —■" said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that J would probably lite only a thort time, and it ■ was no use of their holding out false hopes. 1 thanked them, and felt as they did.. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my hueband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Restorer, for I believe that will pat her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, 1 began to feel a change; and a tingling sensation in my limbi. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more - good. The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, end feel quite as well as when I first came to New Zealand five yean ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in mj grave, if I had not put myself in your handt. —lam, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL.
