At the hospital committee meeting yesterday afternoon it was unanimously resolred that the doctor should hare the supreme control of the hospital. At a meeting held in Wellington yesterday at which representatives from all the friendly societies were present, it was decided that Thursday, 15th October, should be the day on which a monster demonstration should be held. The G-orernor will be asked to proclaim a' public holiday, and notice is to be sent to all friendly societies throughout the colony inviting them to join in the demonstration in Wellington. A deputation will wait' on Gerernment and on steamboat owners to* morrow to endeavor to get a reduction of railroad and steamer fares for visitors.
