AUCKLAND.
This day. told.
Mr Barron, who found the black sand containing gold on the shore in the Waitemata Harbor, bas since discovered a reef nine feet wide on the Whau river, and from an analysis made by Mr Fond, the mineral contains gold and silver, the reef is private property and is being prospected.
