Medical — FIRST PRIZE A.A. AOT> P.A. EXHIBITION 1883. — £1,000 REWARD.—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOii CLEANSING, v PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. THE Propi J\etor, in explaining why he has not for some time pushed the gale of the above, would state that he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and h* hat nofc therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able to satisfy all the local and foreign d<jiuands,>nd wus unoble to administer as extensively as he, could have desired to the wants of a suffering world. MR HITCHENS is now happy to state that he is once again in a position to supply this health-gi?ing Medioine, which be is convinced will, " with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible i yet gentle operation. In coming before the public and planting bis standard once more on the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind—i.e., sickness—be trusts that an overruling Providence will bless his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this even* ing's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, oue of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than to say that bis illness was of a most severe typo, baffling the skill of medicbl men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the belter. Here is what Captain Faeqtthab says of ftITOHENS' BLOOD RESTORER :— Anckland, October 15, 1888.—Dear Sir,—For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying thatafter taking it for three months I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result wos'euch a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to aoknovledge, unsolicited, ita curative powers.—l atn, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabqtjhab, Matter Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. The Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons wbp dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is aleo willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patients • and. have pronounced them incur&ble, and answer questions put ielative to the facts of the** cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledgment would add increased brilliancy to the fa tie of the medicine. ■'."■■.. ~~— —■ Mr Axbx. Ea&letou, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, Buffered with & paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the caae hopeless, and friends believed hie end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchens's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better ; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. Mr D. R. Ckishoim, Agent for Mr Hitohehs.—Dear Sir,—lt is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitcbens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Dieher, who spoke in eulogistic Krms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and ehe is making rapid progress, and is new enabled to resume her household duties. Acting 00 beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should imprest upon these who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAS : . BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. ; Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. HixobehS.—Sir, —I had been for five yeers suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Anokland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced togive your blood restorer-a', trial, nnd am proud to say efter four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wiab^that'others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. . . Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Me Hitchens.—Dear Sir, —As you have aeked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use jour Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on-me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know; but, et any rate,. I was unable to stand for nine months, and bad to be lifted like a baby, and my taste was entirely gone. Dr ■ said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that I would probably live only a thoirt time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt at they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told' him. He at once said, "Let her toke Mr Hitchen's.Bloodßestorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequftit bottle teemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite sa well as when I first came to New Zealand five yean ago. I am always happy to tell people the gocd you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myeelf in your hands, —lam, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Coins Beownb'b Chlobodynb, has earned for itself, not only in Hindostan, but all over the East. As a remedy of general utility, wo much question whether a better is imported into the country, and we ehall be glad to hear of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, we are \iappy to say, are now relegated to the native bazaara, and, judging from their sale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply instances ad infinit m of the extraordinary emoaey of Db. In Choleraic Diarrhoea, and even in tho more terrible formt of Cholera itself, we have witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have nerer used any other form of this medioine than Collis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it it decidedly the beat, and also from a sense of duty wo owe to the profession and the public, at we are of opinion that the substitution of any other than Collis Browne's is a DBUBBBA.TB BBBAOH OS FAITH OH I'HB BABT OS THH CHEMIST TO PBBSCBIBKB AKD PATIBHX AUKMt We are, sir, faithfully yours, Symes and Co., Members of the Pharm, Society of Grea Britain, His Excellenoy the Viceroy's Chemists."
