CAMBRIA.
The hangingwall of the reef in the winze being sunk from No. 3 level was broken down this morning, with the result that the satisfactory haul of 901bs of specimen! was bagged, and a fair show of gold still left, visible in the bottom. The reef continues to' look well, and carries excellent minerals. The reef in the second stope over the drive at No. 3 level looks well; and in breaking down this afternoon the manager bagged the satisfactory haul of 501 bs of specimens, a good show of gold being still left.
SAXON.
The new manager is sparing no effect to find gold, and utilize the labor at his disposal to the best advantage. At No. 5 lorel a block on No. 3 leader, under where Mr Coutts obtained a haul of specimens, is being sloped out. It is about 20ft. deep, and extends to the Cross boundary, some 30ft. Colors of gold are seen, and the quartz ought to be payable. But the principal workings are at No. 3 level. Here No. 2 leader is being followed hillward. Mr Coutts had put a man to follow a vein on the hangiugwall. This showed gold freely, and it has now junctioned with No. 2. The leader is a fine body of quartz, perhaps a foot wide. It carries excellent mineral, and colors of gold, intermixed with blend, are seen. The country also is very favorable for gold. A leading stope is being carried along. No. 1 reef is equally promising. It is being driven on seaward, and colon of gold were obtained in the face jesterday. Rising and stoping in both directions are proceeding. The lode rum from a foot to 18 inches wide.
LITTLE DAVID (HAEE CREEK). Dunlop and party finished crashing* parcel of 8 loads yesterday at Bull* battery, and obtained the good result of llozi 18dwts. Owing to the condition of the road a further crushing from the tame mine has been delayed. ■■ MAGNOLIA. The trial crushing of 6 loads of ganeral dirt was completed to-day for 2ozs 13dwts gold. GOLD BETUBNS. Kubanui Hill.—Truscott «nd party hare banked loz Idwt gold. v Moakataibi.—Christie and party's crushing produced 9ozs 3dwts gold.
