A PPLICATION has been made by J\, Matthew Thomas Clayton for permission to construct a Water Race for mining purposes, eomtaencinp; at a point on Waiomo Creek about four hundred yards above forks of Waiomo Creek and terminating 150 yards below forks, as shown on plan. The length of such Race * is fire hundred and fifty yards, or there*•bouts, and its intended course is along the creek. The mean breadth and depth of snch Race is two feet by one foot; it is capable of carrying three sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads o.f forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate ia three. ■ " i NOTICE is therefore given, that on the ' 31st -day of August, 1835, a License will ' be granted to the above-name^ Matthew THOMAS CiAXToH for the said Water Eace, unless valid objection thereto be in the mean- , time made in writing, and -lodged at this Office not less than ouren clear days before that date.
