Warden's Office,, Thames, 30th July, 1885. ■, A PPLICATION has been made by J\_ Matthew Thomas Clayton for permission to construct a Water Race for mining purfoias, commencing at a point on-Waiono Creek about four hundred yardajabove-forks of Waiomo Creek I and terminating 150 yards below fork's, as ihown on plan. The" leDgth of snch Race is five hundred and fifty yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is along the creek. The mean bneadth and depth of such Race is two feet by one foot; it is capable of carrying three sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate is three. .
