The Administration Bill was read a third time and passed. The Deceased Person's Estates Duties Bill, N<ipier Harbor Board Empowering Bill, Presbyterian Church Property Bill, and the Sydenham Public Works Loan Validation Bill were read a second time—The School Committees Election Bill was further considered in committee. Clause 4, which provided for the repeal of the cumulative vote, was struck out by 24 to 11. The Hon Mr Holmes moved a new clause providing that the school age should mean from 7 to 15. The slause was inserted by 22 to 11, and the bill was reported with amendment. The Council adjourned at 5 p.m.
