Medical , • ' — FIRST PRIZE A.A. awb P.A. EXHIBITION 1883. ~ £1,000 REWARD.—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOit* CLEANSING, PUEIFYING,. AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. THE Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for some time pushed tho sale of the above, would state that he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and he ha§ not; therefore been in a pooition to come before the public. He has not been able to satisfy all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to adteinieter as extensively B8 he could have deaired to the wants of a suffering world. MR HITCKENS is now happy to state that he is once again in a position to supply this health-giving Medicine, which he is convinced -will, " with the blessing of God," euro almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. Iv corning before the public and planting his standard once more on the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind— i.e., sickness —be trusts that an overruling Providence will bless his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, OHe of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further oomment then to say that his illneßS was of a most severe typo, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here is what Captain Faeqtxhab says of KITCHENS' BLOOD RESTORER :— Anckland, October 15, 1883. —Dear Sir, —For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, end I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for three months I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.'—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabquhab, Muter Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. Ihe Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable } Institution if tho good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. • ~^ , The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, and be will underiuke to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is aks willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attprded the patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledement would add increased brilliancy to the fa:oe of the medicine. ■ Mr Axes. Eaoieton, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with « paralysed arm, frith every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the cage hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchenß's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better ; and on continuing to tbke the medictee, he was completely restored to health and strength. Mr D. R, Chishoim, Agent for Mr HiTOHENS.—Dear Sir,—lt is with heartfelt, thanki I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchene's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Dieber, who spoke in eulogistic firmß of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am Tery happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. Alter a few doses pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to reßunse her household duties. Acting BO beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should impress upon these who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me« yours very*sincerely, THOMAS BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. HiiOHEBS.—Sir, —I had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blood reßtorer a trial, and am proud to cay after four bottles and the use of your Ointments I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, moet respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Mb Hitchenb.—Dear Sir, —As you have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use jour Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will Bimply say that whether it wss Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know ; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for cine months, and bad to be lifted like a baby, and my teste was entirely gone. Dr ——— said I had an affection of the spine, and that 16hould never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to Bee me, and I was told that I would probably live only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt se they did. -Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what wub the. matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Restorer, for 1 believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the thiid bottle in the third week, I began to feela change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every eubEequcni bottle seemed to bo doing me more good. The result is that alter using eight bottles, I tnj tow quue well, do nay own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite aa well as when I first came to Hew Zealand five years ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam cure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put mysrff in your hands. —I am, dear eir, yours faithfully, ELORA NICOL. "Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above statement. —N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A. H. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether a better is imported into the country, and we shall be glad to hear of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, we are happy to say, are now relegated to the native bazaars, and, judging from their sale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but) evanescent. We could multiply instances ad inHnU m of the extraordinary efficacy of Db. In Choleraic Diarrhoea, and even in the more terrible forms of Cholera itself, we have witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of this medicine than Oollia Browne's, from a firm conviction that it i* decidedly the best, and also from a sense of duty we owe to the profession and the public, a» we are of opinion that the substitution of any other than Collis Browne's is a DBUBBBATS BREACH OF FAITH OK THE PABT 03 THB CHEMIST TO PBEBOEIBEH AMD FIfOKI AUU, We are, sir, faithfully yours, Symes and Co., Members of the Pharm.'
