This day,
The committee of the Sheehan Memorial Fund are commencing an active can* rass. It is proposed to ask the Thames residents -to cooperate, and the names of those desirous of acting on the committee will be received by Mr Mc.Culloueh, who will today visit the Thames for that purpose.
Mr Black, a late member of the Parnell faction in the House of* Commons, was entertained last night by the members of Redmond's branch of the Irish National League. He gave a lengthy speech, touching upon Irish affairs, and received a vote of thanks from the meeting.
Between ten and twenty thousand pounds of meat are being tinned daily at the Freezing Company's works.
