Banquet in Honor of the ContingentThe banquet given by the citizens of Sydney in honor of the return of the New South Wales Contingent, took place last night, and proved a great success. His Excellency Lord Augustus Loftus and Admiral Tryon were present, and the assemblage included most of the leading men of the colony. A number of speeches were made, congrafulaling.the members of the Contingent on £beir safe return.

Melbourne, Yesterday. Thirteen members of the permanent Artillery Force, stationed at Queenscliffe, have been arrested for acts of insubordi* nation, which occurred last week. Six of the ringleaders were tried by Court* martial to day, when the Court refused to hear their counsel, who declared the Court illegally constituted. The prisoners, when called on, refused to plead. Sailed, this afternoon : The Union Co.'s s.s. Wairarapa, for the Bluff.
