LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Wellington, Yesterday. The Colonial Secretary said it was the intention of Government to inircduce a bill to amend the Public Trustee Act.
A number of bills from the Lower Chamber were read a first time; the Gaming and Lotteries Bill was read a third time and passed; the Criminal Code Bill was reported with amendments; the Industrial Schools and the West Coast Settlements Bills were read a third time and passed. The Council rose at 4.40 p.m.
