DEVON.
Although a considerable amount of work has been done ia this company's mine, which is situated in v the Waiotahi Crock, nothing of a payable nature ha« been met with. A find of some importance was made in the rise now being put up, however, to day, for when break* ing down the reef, which is some 5 feet in thickness, colors of gold were seen freely in the footwall portion of the lode, which is about 2 feet wide, The gold is accompanied by an abundance of mineral, and the stone looks well. A large vein of mundic is running with the hanging wall of the reef, which is also & very favorable clais of stone for gold.
