Medical . — PIBST PRIZE A.A. and P.A. EXHIBITION 1883. — £1,000 REWARD — Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GBEAT NEW ZEALAND EEMEDY FOE CLEANSING, PUKIFYING, AND INVK. OEATING THE BLOOD. THE 'Proprietor, in explaining -why ho has not for Eorae time pusbsd the sale of t,he above, would state that he received each, a Eeriouo check by the disastrous Sre which dcstrr>ved costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently repUctd), &u6 he bus not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He hse not been abiu to sufrsfv all the local and foreign demands, and waa unable to udo.iniater as extensively bb ho could have desired to the wante of a suffering world. Mil HII OH ENS is now happy to state that he is <nee again in a position to supply this health-giving Medicine, ■which he is convinced will, "with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to ite irresistible yet genUo operation. In coining before the public and planting his standard once more on the rantparts of the great enemy of mankind— i.e., sickness —he trusts that an overruling Providence will bless his future efforts to mitigate the phyeical woes of man. la this evening's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It, requires no further comment than to «ay that his illneßS was of a moat severe type, baffling the Bkili of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here is what Captain Faequhab save of fIITCHENS' BLOOD RESTORER:— Anckland, October 15, 1883.—Dear Sir,—For twelve monthß I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for three moctus I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result was euch a thorough cure that I consider it mj duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully youra, W. Faec, tjhab, Master Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. The Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will bo forfeited to any Charitable w ■---: Instituti n if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons wbc dispute the \ veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is ok© willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the* patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put lelative to the facts of the oases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowlcdement would add increased brilliancy to the fa-re of the medicine. — Mr Alex. Eaoibton, Hairdresser, of Queen street, AucHend, suffered with & paralysed arm, frith every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to givo Hitchen&'s Blood Restorer a trial, the result being on immediate change for the better ; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. Mr D. R. Chisholm, Agent for Mr Hitohenb. —Dear Sir, —It is with he art felt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disber, who spoke in eulogistic f^rms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and is now entbled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable romedy, nnd should impress upon these ' who are aimilarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe mci yours very sincerely, THOMAS BROWN, Brifctania Heights, Nelson. Muraiti (near Eowick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. HitcbbnS.—Sir,—l had been f«r five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blocd restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the übb of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wieb, that others may benefit thereby.—Yourß, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Mb Hiiceeks.—Dear Sir, —As jou have aeked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restorer, and the effect it bad on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know j but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for wine mpiiths, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taste was entirely gone. Dr ——; said I had au affection of the Bpine, and that I Bbould never have the use of my. limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that I would probably live only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what wsb the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hiichen'e Blood Restorer, for 1 believe that will put her all right." I, did so, and after using the third bottle jn the Ibird week, I began to feela change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subgequfj-t bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bcttlee, I cru cow quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite bb well as when I first csme to New Zealand five years ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did ice, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your bands. —I am, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA KICOL. Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above statement.—N. McMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A. H.
