London, July 16. Increase of the Russian Force
at Zulflka.
In the House of Commons last night Lord Randolph Churchill, Secretary for India, announced that the Gorernmcnt were in receipt of a report from Colonel Ridgeway, in charge of the Afghan Boundary Commission, to the effect that the Russian force, in the vicinity of the Zultika Pass, was being considerably increased. .
Lieut.-Colonel H. P. Peacock and Captain Yates hare gone to Herat, to which place the Boundary Commission are now proceeding.
London, July 17. Boundary Commission Removed
to Herat.
The Boundary Commission has moved to Herat, at the request nf the Afghan authorities, in order to direct the works being carried out for the defence of that place.
