Fiji News.
Arrived : s.s. Arawata, from Fiji. The Fiji Annexation Committee has resolved to forward a petition in favor of annexation to New Zealand to the Premier, and a letter to Sir George Grey asking his continued support. The Fiji Times expresses surprise and regret at the extreme caution displayed by the House of Eepresentatives. It says that the late Premier never manifested any interest in South Sea affairs, but they expect a different reply from Sir Julius Vogel. It is observed that the reply received contrasts singularly with the enthusiasm displayed over in Samoa.
A horrible double murder has occurred at Vuna; two of Moore's Polynesian laborers were found mutilated, their heads being severed from the trunks. Two Fijians have been arrested on suspicion.
