Eace for mining, purposes, commencing at a point about half a chain below the crossing of the County track over the .creek known"'as Noble's, and terminating at about, one chain from Mb James Biixdjue's house, as shown on plan. The length of such Eace is nine (9) chains flaming and four chains of piping, or thereabouts, and its intended course is from point of receiving around side of hili and thence down to flat. The main breath nnd depth of such a Eace.is ■ 12 inches wide and 8 inches deep ; it iscapable of carrying one sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate is one. NOTICE is therefore given*- that on the twentieth day of July, 1885, a License will be granted to the said Henby M. A PPLICATION has been mad« by i\ John McOombik to construct a Water Eace for tuiuing purposes, com* mencinu at a. point on the Obinemun Kiver, about bnU'-a-mile above the Han roki Battery Site, and terminating at a point near La Monte's Furnace Site, as shown on the plan. The length of such Eace is half a mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-west. The mean breadth and depth of such Eace is 4 feet by 2 feet; it is capable "of carrying ten sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is ten.
