Davis, for permission to construct a Water Eace . for. mining purposes, commencing at a . - point on the Waitawheta -River, at the Hauraki Dam, and terminatiDj; at a point near to his proposed Machine Site, as shown on the sketch plan thereof, deposited in the Warden's Office. The length of such Eace is about fifty chains, and its intended course is north-west. The mean depth and breadth of such Eace is — ; it is capable of carrying six sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is six. NOTICE is therefore given that on the twentieth day of July, 1885, a License will bo granted to the said R. K. Davis for the sftid Water' Race unleßs valid objection thereto be in the meantime 'made in writing, and lodged at this Office, not less than seven clear days before that date Haeby Kenbick, Warden. HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT. NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO FORM A WATEE EACE. 118539 Warden's Office, Thames, sth June, 1885. A PPLICATION has been made by j[\. Henby M. Shephebd for permission to construct a Water Eace for mining purposes, commencing at a point about half a chain below the crossing of the County track over the creek known as Noble's, and terminating at about one chain from Mb James Eiddie's house, as shown on plan. The length of such Eace is nine (9) chains flunking and four chains of piping, or thereabouts, and its intended ' course is from point of receiving around side of hill and thence down to flat. The . - main breath and depth of such a Race is 12 inches wide and 8 inches deep ; it is capable of carrying one sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate is one. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the twentieth day of July, 1885, a License will be granted to the said Hbn&y M. Shephhbd for the said Water Race, i unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this Office not less than seven olear days before that date.
