No. 1 reef and the stones above Arizona level still look well, with a very fair show of gold to be seen, and the yield at the battery continues satisfactory. The dirt now being broken out from the surface of No. 1 reef appears of good quality, with good gold showing in the stone. The recent returns from tbe bat> tery exhibit a very great improvement, and are really good.

Premier.—The work now progressing in this mine consists of sinking a winze on No. 2 reef, so as to intersect the intermediate level, and the manager expects to have boled through by about the middle of next week, after which crushing will be commenced at once. A little gold is to be seen in the winze.

At the battery, the whole of the tailings plant, and the 20 head of stampers, are now employed for the New Find.-* "News.
