The reef in the drive at No. 3 level also contains favorable mineral. THAMES GOLDEN CROWN. The manager intends to sink the shaft a further distance of some 60 or 70 feet, and operations will therefore be commenced on Monday, and the work proceeded with as speedily as possible. No further breaking of the reef in the winze has taken place since yesterday. DEEP LEVEL CROSS. There is no change worth reporting in the present workings. Next week a start will be made on No. 1 reef at No. 4t level lof the Imperial. Whilst the reef was ! being stoped, the water became so troublesome that a corner of excellent crushing dirt was left in. This the manager will now endeavor to secure. SAXON. The crushing now proceeding at the Herald battery is shaping for a better yield than the quartz last treated, and should yield at least loz per load. The No 1 reef is looking pretty well, and it is possible that further prospecting may prove the payable run to extend westward towards the old Queen of England ground. MOANATAIBI. The little leader being driven on at the tunnel level continues to yield one or two pounds of picked stone occasionally. Communication having been effected between the 150 ft and the 80ft levels, ventilation has been secured aud erosseuttiog resumed at the 80ft level.
