Albany, Yesterday. The New South Wales Contingent. The transport Arab, with the New South Wales contingent aboard, arrived here to«day. During the voyage one death occurred. The troops are in excellent health and spirits. The Arab is expected to reach Sydney on Sunday, June 21st. Sydney, Yesterday. A telegram has been received from Albany to the effect that Veterinary Surgeon Willows of the contingent died and was buried at sea. The telegram further states that nineteen men are invalided. The informal reception of the troops will take place on Monday week, the 22nd instant. .-.-, The Australasia Steam Navigation Co.'s f.s. Cahors, which was wrecked yesterday, was uninsured. The loss is estimated at £24,060. Heavy rains have fallen throughout the colony, - and the drought is practically ended.
The Union Co.'s Tekopo arrived here last night.
Adelaide, Festerday. In consequence of the passing of the no-confidence motion in the Assembly, the Ministry have resigned. The Hon. J. W.J Downer, the mover of the vote, has been charged with the formation of a new Ministry.
