HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTKICT. NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO FORM A WATER RACE. ]{8588 Warden's Office, Thames, sth June, 1885. A PPLICATION has been made by XJL John McCombib for R. K. Davis, for permission to construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the Waitawheta .Hirer, at the Hauraki Dam, and terminating at a point near to his proposed Machine Site, as shown on the sketch plan thereof, de posited in the Warden's Office. The length of such Race is about fifty chains, and its intended course is north west. The mean depth and breadth of such Race j s ; it is capable of carrying six sluice beads of water, and the number of sluice heads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is six. NOTICE is therefore given that on the twentieth day of July, 1885, a License will be granted to the said,R. K. Davib .for the said Water Race unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged afc this Office, uot less than seven clear days before that date. Habby Kenbick, Warden. HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT. ! NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO ; FORM A WATER RACE. 1|8539 Warden's Office, Thames, sth June, 1885. A PPLICATION has been made by jf-jJL H ENBY M. Shefhebd for permission to construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point about half a chain below the crossing of the County track over the creek known as Noble's, and terminating at about one chain from Mb James Middle's house, as shown ocr plan. The length of such Race is nine (9) chains fluming and four chains of piping, or thereabouts, and its intended course is from point of receiving around side of hill and thence down to flat. The main breath and depth of such a Race is 1-2 inches wide and 8 inches deep ; it is capable of carrying one sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each, which il is proposed to appropriate is one. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the twentieth day of July, 1885, a License will be granted to the said Henky M. Shefhbbb for the said Water Bace, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime, made in writing, and lodged at this Office not less than seven clear days before that date.
