A Correspondent writing from Sail Lake city to the San Francisco Post, of a late date gives the following items, showing that the practice of Mormonism i« beiDjj vigorously rooted out by Uncle Sam:—" The senior editor of the Deseret News, Charles Penrose, is yet in .hiding from the authorities, as is also John Taylor, the President of the church, but the authorities yesterday arrested John Nicholson, associate editor of the abora mentioned paper, on the charge ef pologamy and unlawful cohabitation. The Mormons will hold £heir next semi* annual conference, commencing April 4 b, "" at Logan instead of Salt Lake, as customary. The forthcoming conference will be the most important one ever held, because of the consternation of the priesthood, incident to the recent con. victioas in the federal court* of polygamists.
