Medical — FIRBT PRIZE AX i»3> P.A. EXHIBITION, 1883. — £1,000 BEWAHD.—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GEEAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOE CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. THE Proprietor, in explaining -why lie baa not for some time pushed the »ale of the above, v.ould state thafe he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of proparcd berbe (recently replaced), and he has not therefore been in a position to come beforo the public. He has not been able te satisfy all the local and foreign demands, and -was unable to administer as extensively as he could have desired to the wants of a Buffering world. MR KITCHENS is now happy to state that he ia once again in a position to .supply this health-giving Medicine, which he is convinced will, " with the blessing of God," euro almost, any disorder, owing to iti irresistible yet gentle operation. In coming before the public and planting his standard once more on the ramparts of tbo great enemy of mankind— i.c,, sickness—he trusts that an overruling Providence will bleBS his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. 'In this even* ing's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchent, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than to say that bis illness was of a moat severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here it what Captain Fabquhae saye of HITCH ENS' BLOOD RESTORER :— Auckland, October 15, 1883.—Dear Sir,—For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for thrae months I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabqithab. Maite* Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. The Proprietor would here intimate that jGIjQOO will be forfeited to any Charitable Instituticn if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. I'he Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons wb(> dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is also willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended tbe patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer quest ions put relative to the facts of the cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledement would add increased brilliancy to the fa trie of the medicine. ~——— ■ Mr Aiex. Eagketon, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with i paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through tbe body. The doctors pro* nounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchena's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. Mr D. R. Chisholm, Agent for Mr Hitohenb.—Dear Sir, —It is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse tho gterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Slood Restorer. Being induceu by Mr Dieber, who Bpoke in eulogistic terms of its moritß, to place my wife (who was Buffering very acutely with Eheumatio Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to stale the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ce&Bed, and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household dutieß. Acting to beneficially, I would not be without such a Valuable remedy, and should impress upon these who are similarly suffering Jiot to overlook this specific, which is inestimable. —Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAB BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Ho wick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitchesb.—Sir,—l had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment-in the Auckland Hospital, without any improve* inent, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you with, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully. CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Mb Hitchens. —Dear Sir,—As you have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for sine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taste was entirely gone. Dr —— ■ said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that I would probably live only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and ielt as they did,- Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at, once said, "Lot her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Restorer, for I believe that will pat her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottle*, lam cow quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite as well as when I first came to New Zealand fire yean ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but moat likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands, —I am, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above statement.—N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A. H. Hitchens, Abercrombie st., Auckland, SOLE PROPRIETOR. PRFTECTED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE COLONIES, i '
