• The reef cut at the bottom of the shaft is not very clearly defiaed, and the manager is not yet able to distinguish accurately its lie and run. It seems at the present that there is a break, and beyond this the lode is about 2ft thick. One thing is certain—it is a fine body of quartz, well impregnated with favorable minerals, and carries strong blotches of gold.

Woodstock.—There are now some 50 tons of quartz on hand, and crushing will probably take place when the Ivanhoe have finished. Payable dirt continues to come to hand from the stopes north and south of the winze.
