Lieuts. Airlie, Wrench, and Sparrow, of the JNcw South Wales contingent, hare volunteered to remain behind, to act as mounted scouts after the departure of the remainder of tho contingent for Australia. Lieut. Col. Richardson, the Australian commandant, is unwell, and has gone aboard the Ganges Hospital ship.

Sydney, Yesterday.
The New South Wales contingent are under orders to return to Australia, and will leave Suakim for Sydney on the sth June.

StTAKTM, May 12.
Gunner Edward Lewis Middlehead, of the New South Wales contingent, died this morning at the Base Hospital.
The early departure of the troops for home is expected.
The enemy are quiet
