A Pitched Battle, and Defeat of the Hc"b?lsAdvices from Saskatchewan state that a pitched battle took place on Monday last, between General Middleton's forces and tbe rebsls under Louis Kiel, resulting in the enemy being ousted from their rifle pits. The Batouche Indians managed to rescue a number of prisoners who were in the custody of the Canadians. The loss on Middleton's side was 10 killed and wounded, while a large number of Kiel's men were killed. Lokdon May 13. to day was further reduced £, being now 1-|, and the bank rate 3 per cent. Colonial breadstuff's : Adelaide wheat, ox store, has [recovered the quotations of Monday, tho price to-day being 373 6d; Adelaide flour, ex store, 27s ; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 32s to 3b's; ditto, off coast, 31b 6d.
