Battery.-—-Keturns for the week :— Premier: Tailings, Bozs retorted gold. New Find : From battery, 10<k>zs; tailingß plant, 21ozs lOdwts; total, 1250z» lOdwts retorted gold. Total New Fiod return for the month ending 15th inst. : 204 trucks, 3230zs retorted gold.! This includes the return fr^m all tailings treated.
New Find.—Work in this mine is procoeding much the same as reported last week. As will be seen by the returns published, a considerable improvement in the quality of the dirt latterly coming to hand is apparent. Driving is now in progress at the north end of No 2 reef, which still haa a healthy appearance.
