Medical , — FIRST PRIZE A.A. and P.A. EXHIBITION, 1888. —. £1,000 REWABD—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOE CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. THE Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for some time pushed the tale'of the abcva, v,ould etate that he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which, destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), aud he but nob therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able to .satisfy all the local and foreign demands, and was unnble to administer as extensively as he. could have desired to the wants of a suffering world. MR HITCHENS is now happy to state that; ho is once again in a poeition to supply this health-git ing Medicine, which he is, con* vinced will, " with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. In coming before the public and planting his standard once more on ' the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind—i.e., sickness—he trusts that an overruling Providence will bless bis future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this even* ing'a Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitcheoi, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no farther comment than to say that bis illness was of a moat severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Hera is what Captain .Fabqtthab says of HITCHENS 1 BLOOD RESTORER :— Auckland, October 15, 1883.—Dear Sir, —For twelve month* I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying: that . after taking it for three months I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at firßt, but the result wos such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabquhab, Matte Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. The Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated.. Xho Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who - dispute' the "" veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuinoness of the cures effected. He is also willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patients and hove pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded' from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledement would add increased brilliancy to the fa me of the medicine. Mx Alex. Eagietoh, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with • paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was - induced to give Hitchem's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to. health and strength. ■ Mr D. B. Chisbolm, Agent for Mr Hitohenb.—Bear Sir,—lt is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disher, who spoke in eulogistic fwms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceasedj and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should impress upon these who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—-Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAB BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson; Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitohbhb.—Sir,—l had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland. Hospital, without any improve- - merit, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. > Mb Hitohbkb.—Dear Sir, —As you have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it waß Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me co helpless, I do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for Bine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taste .waß entirely gone. Dr • said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never havo the uso of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to ccc me, and I was told that I would probably five \otily a thort time, a*d it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He' at once said, " Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Restorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did bo, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottlet, lam now quite Veil, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite as well as when I first csme to New Zealand five jeans ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but moßt likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witnees—HENßY HABTNOLL," Nelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to\the perfect accuracy of the above. statement.—N. McMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H* A* H.
