BLENHEIM.

This dey,

J^r Young's body was recovered yesterday afternoon in a 22ft. hole in the Pelorous River. An inquest last night in Havelock resulted in a verdict of " Accidental drowning," with a rider in which the jury urged on Government the necessity of the completion of Pelorous bridge as early as possible, and the proper authorities were requested to open a track to the upper ford. The ford, where the accident happened, is rough, and the approaches are bad. There .being no lights at night on the unfinished bridge, it is dangerous to cross the Polorous.
