CAMBRIA.
The manager reported yesterday afternoon as follows: —"The eastern drive is in a distance.of 151 ft from the winze; the reef in 1 the face is 9ft in thickness and still continues to look well. There is nothing new to report from the stopes. The intermediate drive is in a distance of 38ft from x the winze. From the stope at the inter* mediate level, BOlbs of specimens, were obtained this week. The crosscut.at JNo. 3 level is in a distance of 46ft; it is in good sandstone country at present. The stuff at the battery is shaping much better this week. About 85 loads have been crushed, for 4871 ozs of amalgam. I will crush the specimens on Monday, and retort on Tuesday.—H. W. MoeBB."
DABWIN. Yesterday's lodgment of gold was reduced to 27ozs 14dwts on melting to-div. The winze is down 24ft. Two feet wide of quartz, well mineralised and showing colors of gold; is being broken. ; MOANATAIRI EXTENDED. The northren crosscut has daring the last few feet passed through two leaders, and another body of quartz is now show* in the face. The first two leaders' were about five feet apart, and each was six inches thick, composed of ' favorable quartz, though showing no gold, and not carrying a great deal of mineral. The qic * now in the face has been pierced for six: inches, and, apparently there is more quartz behind. The country is a white sandstone. GOLD KETUBNS. Diamond Gully.—-The crushing from - this claim, treated at the Waiorongamai battery, gave 41ozs Bdwts melted gold from 48 trucks.
