DUNEDIN.
Last night. A sad case of sunstroko occurred on Friday, the victim being a little boy about three years old, son of Mr John Gillen, who resides in Union street. The child had been playing in the back yard, where he was found by his mother, about two o'clock, in an insensible condition, with his hat off, nnd apparently very sick. She put him to bed, and ]3rs Jtioberts and Davis were called, but the hoy expired at twelve o'clock the following day.
This day. Mr Gillies, M.H.R. for Bruce, speaking at Milton iasfc night, strongly condemned Mr Scout's views on Christianity. He should remember the respousibiiity of his position ;if he did not, others vvouid. He had no, right to use his position to iusult the feelinys of the'bulk of the people of this colony. The speaker received a vote of confidence. t
