"In connection with the puerperal fever case, Dr Fell has written to the Times about sending Kate Kelly to the hospital. He states that he attended the woman during her confinement, and left off visiting her, as, usual, after the ninth day,at which time;she was up and about. Four days later he was asked to see her again, with the view of getting her into the Hospital. He went to see her, and she was then sitting up and half dressed. The people she was with declined to keep her even for another night.. He saw the Hospital doctor on the matter, and the latter decided to take, her in. He declares that when he saw'-the Hospital surgeon he was■ not aware that the patient was suffering from puerperal feVer. '
