The National Mortgage Agency Company of New Zealand report of the local grain marketns follows:—Shipping wheat is quiet at 3s 7d to 3s 8d; malting barley shows a slightly improved tendency, and is quoted at 4s to 4s 9d; New Zealand oats are sluggish, feeding 3s 9d to 3s lOd, milling 3s 2d to 3s 5d ; New Zealand oats, in bond, 2s 6d to 2s 8d ; rye grass, 3s 9d to 4s 3d, with rather more inquiries at lower prices.
The same Company have sold kauri pine, ex Mary Blair, at the following prices:—Hewn logs, per 100 feet super, 12s 6d to 13s ; sawn flitches, 13s 9d to 17s; sawn boards, 1£ to 3 inch, 13s 9d to 18s; dressed boards, -f inch, 22s 6d to 23s 6d ; deck planking, 19s 6d ; T. and G. flooring. 4 by 1^ inch, per 100 feet lineal, 8s 3d to 8s 6d. Kauri timber is in fair demand.
