OHINEMURI MINING.

The Tribune says:—Most of the claims have again got to work after the holidays, The Waihi battery being again short of water, is only running 10 head of stamps for 8 hours a day, and there are but, few hands employed in the mine. The Hauraki battery has had an overhaul, which it much wanted, and is again at work. The usual boy and wheelbarrow performance is going on at the Waitekauri battery, and it seems a great pity that the County oannot form a road into this, dis* trict, so that the Mining Inspector might be enabled to report what is going on. Neither Brown and Bleaxard nor any other man should be allowed to lock up an entire district for their sole advantage.
