A cottage in Castle street, owned by James Cherry and occupied by William Young, telegraphist, was totally destroyed by fire this morning. Young was insured for £150 in the South British. Walking ContestAt four o'clock this morning Hancock had walked 31 miles 3 laps and Scott 31 miles. '
