The Osprey.
The Australasian, in reference to thr Tichborne Osprey Orton reports, slates tbat Mr J. A. Gurner dees good service to tlh» dfrcoterers and recollectora of visits of "the Osprey" to Port Phillip by •hoWing with what conditions their Osprey bat to conform to Tender any help to the cauae of the unhappy nobleman who is now stumping England on a ticket>otle»ve. Unless their Osprey fairly tallies with, his Oaprey.it does not uphold the righteous cause, and to do so sic must be an Osprey of about 1800 tons bur. den, which came to Port Phillip on or •bout July 24, 1854. This date docs not approximately agree with that of the occasion on which a correspondent re numbered seeing the Osprey arrive with the >on of a baronet on board who had been picked up at sea. So that we must ■isume, if the claimant's story is true, and the correspondent's memory correct. that that incident, oddly enough, happened twice over. Moreover, the name of the captain of the Osprey must, according to the claimant's evidence, be Owen Lewis, and tLe Teasel must hare had two officers on board, whose names, with that of the captain, are, singular to say, identical with those of the captain and two officers of the skip Middleton. in which Arthur Orton.in December, 1852, sailed from England to Hobart. Eridence may be given of a whole fleet of Osprfys coming to this port But they will bare no reference to the ease of the' claimant unless they comply with •11 these conditions, which, hitherto, unfortunately, they have all (ailed to do.
