Sic, —Will you kindly do me the favor of contradicting a statement made in a Paeroa message published in thia morning's Advertiser, as it may prevent dis«v appointment^ others. In the Ohihemuri correspondence it is stated that the staff of slonebreakers was brought to OhineV tnuri by Mr Trainor, but it was at the cost and expense of the stbneb'reake'rß|* and not as the-article would lead one toinfer ; and instead of 3s 8d per yard being offered, we were offered 3s, and would fciave taken 3s 6d sooner than come: back, but this was refused.—l am, &c,
