SOME patients suffering from nervous affections are efreid from s;,eer bashful* ness and modesty tj vbh&qvi::rss consult a medical man—other pa feats have not the i selfposiession and ocolyc-ai when in the con- | suiting 100 m, to aceuvafmiy describe their | symptoms—their babifcs of life, and the | nalufa of <h«a d:aeaae they suffer from. ; Let euefa y arsons (he or she) Bit quietly j down m the pi-ivaey of their own apartments, I and vn'ih e.v!\ii minds describe clearly eaoh i symptou. of ilberr rrie, a clesr statement thus |l vftat', 5 tna ? I Ao the same time medicines are sent to my ' patients in such a form as to defy detection, i How many thousands have I not brought 1 joy to? How tany have been enabled to enter inta the mai\:.":v,e fi'r..o through coneuHJng me ? How mauy t.!Uvi? ma;f!?ge have privately consulted me end been blesaed and tbe:i" married lives made fruitful and happy. How many wasted ruined youths of both sexes have also been restored to health, and tbanked their manhood, for having consulted me by letter. How many questions arise whore the family physician ia unable to unravel the case and where often the patient lingers on, not daii.ug to tell bis family medical adviser the nature of his complaint, until consumption wasting, or mental diseases, set in and the sufferer gets beyond the curiable stage, and is left a hopeless wreck. A letter written in the privacy of the room and dropped in the post box reaches me quietly ; the answer is returned as quietly and unostentatiously, and the patient, without stepping from his chamber, except to post his letter, is by return of post put in full possession of the nature of his case. His hopes are rrised his doubts removed, and he is comparatively a new man; in faofc, in many cases, a new being altogether. The or«!y addition to the ordinary written letter is the age occupation, habits and symptoms, nothing more. The usual consultation fee of £1 (one pound) must be enclosed, otherwise no answer w:'l be returned. There are thousands of cases in daily life where a consultation with one at a distance will remove by a single letter a great fear, a great care, and it often solves what appears as an impenetrable mystery. Many a sad heaH has been made joyful on receipt of an explanatory letter from me. To those who are about to marry, I would say consult me before doing so, and thus prevent many after troubles, and remove many unnecejoary fearsvand prejudices; to those, more especially, 'who have suffered in early years f torn disease, or who have yielded to their passions. To these I say, at onoe, consult with me, do not tarry, delays are dangerous, and f.3 an expert, my time may not be always at your eer?iea, you can, by ismply enclosit g one pound, have the' benefit of my experience in the same manner as if I lived in you? town, and with the additional advantage of thorough privaoy.—Yours, truly, LOUIS L.
