Medical . : — FIRST PKIZR A.A. and PA. EXHIBITION, 1883. — £1,000 KEWARD.—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOR' CLEANSING, , PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE.BLOOD. THE Proprietor, in explaining why ho has not for some time pushed the tale of the above, would Btate that; he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire ■which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and he has not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able to satisfy all the local and foreign demands, and was junable to administer as extensively as he could have desired to .the "wants of a suffering!world. MR HITCHENS is now happy to state that he is once again in a position to supply this health-giving Medicine, which he is convinced will, " with the blessing of God,"; cure almoßl any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. In coming before this public and planting his standard ohCe more 'on the rampartß of the great enemy of mankind— i.e., sickness —he trusts that an overruling Providence will bless his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchena, one of which is from one of Auckland's beat known citizens. It requires no further comment than' j to say that his illness was of a most severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other i infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here if what Captain EABQracjta,*ajg of HITCHENS 1 BLOOD RESTORER :— Anckland,* October'ls, 1883.—Dear Sir,—-For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for throe months I completely recovered my health* I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curativo powers.—l aio, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabqtthab, Master ' Mariner, Ponaonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. ; The Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He ia sleo willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts ofjtfhe 1 cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded norn ull testimonials, but then personal acknowledement would add increased brilliancy to the fa re of the medicine. -; Mr AiiEX. EAaiETON, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with t. paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The dcctore pronounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give ■ Hitchens's Blood Restorer'a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better.; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. , Mr D. E.. Chishoim, Agent for Mr Hitohens.—Dear Sir,- —It is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disher, who spoke in eulogistic terms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doaes pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without auch a valuable remedy, and should impress upon these who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAB BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitohbks.—Sir, —l had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanki, and give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yourg, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Me HITCHEKS.-'-Dear Sir, —As you have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to uee your Blood Bestorsr, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taste was entirely gone. Dr - said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to ace me, and I was told that I would, probably live only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. . I thanked them, and felt ac they did. ■ Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him.: He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Restorer, for I Relieve that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing.me more good. The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite aa well as when I first came to New Zealand five years ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands, —lam, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above statement. —N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A. H. Hitchens, Abercrombiei st., Auckland, SOLE PROPRIETOR. PRFTECTED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE COLONIES.
