About the best spin was accomplished by Libeller, who weat twice round at a dingdong pace, the first time being accom* panied by Tetford. Libeller is looking very well, and got over his ground in a very taking manner. The two-year-old filly Nemesis did a smart once round, and Alaric was sent about two miles. Topthorn and Southern Chief (in company) went twice round, and Macaroni and Julia Ann did long steady work. Pipi was treated to a couple of rounds at a strong pace, but she is in no condition for a 2J mile journey. Minerva went about a mile and a quarter, finishing up very fast. Painter did similar work, while Poet got over two miles at a good pace. Administrator cantered once round, finishing up fast, and Jack, Sou'wester, and Ugly Buck did an easy task. Clarence and Barbary each put in a couple of strong rounds, and Woodnymph went three times round. Chaufe's team spurted in clothing, and Normaoby, Witiora, and Wideawake— who arrived from New Plymouth yesterday—did walking exercise. Vallance's horses were out before I arrived on the course, and the other work done was unimportant
