DISTRICT COURT-This Day.

(Before His Honor 11. G. Seth Smith, District Judge.) Matiu Kaimate v. J. Clack.—A claim of £50 damages for trespass.—On the application of Mr Miller, who appeared for plaintiff, an adjournment was granted till February. B* the Hobson G.M. Co.—ln this case an application for payment of costs to the liquidator, made by Mr Lush, was adjourned till tbe February sitting. Be Cantebbuby G.M. Co., Te Aroha •—On Mr Lush's application, Mr Chas. A bier's appointment as liquidator was confirmed. In Bankbuptcy.

Ik be H. Eae, public examination.— Mr Lush for plaintiff, who deposed that he was a bush contractor at Waiorongomai. He was solvent 12 months ago, and bis bankruptcy was dae to the general depression and falling off of business. Wells and Souter were his principal creditors, he owing them £67. The total amount of his liabilities was about £100; while his assets were worth about £30.— No creditors appearing, and no objection being received from the Deputy Official Assignee, the public examination was declared closed.

Ik be Edwin Hadfield, of Waiorongomai.—ln this case Mr Miller had intended to ask the Court to set aside a transfer, but owing to his being unable to procure an important document he withdrew the proceedings, the examination of the bankrupt still remaining open. In be William Geeen, hatter, of Grahamstown.—The date for the public examination of this bankrupt was fixed for February 3rd, 1885.

Ik be Louis Kaiman, late of Waiorongomai.—Mr Miller asked that a date for public examination be fixed, and said the debtor bad had notice that his case had been transferred to Auckland.—His Honor said he had not transferred the proceedings, and as no meeting of creditors cad resolved .to do so, the information supplied to tbe debtor must have been wrong.—The examination was fixed for February 3rd. This concluded the business.
