THE LATE CAMBRIA ACCIDENT.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Sib,—l desire to emphatically deny the statement appearing in your contemporary of this morning with regard to the instructions left by the night shift that we should get the rope properly spliced; neither have I any knowledge of any instructions having been given by the manager that we should get the rope renewed. As far as I myself am concerned, I had no knowledge that the rope wanted repairing or splicing, or I assure you X would never have risked my life by using the rope till it had been properly repaired. —I am, &c, Wjc. Motlb. Thames Hospital, Dec. 15,1884.
