GISBORNE.
Afc the Supreme Court to-day; four Maoris and one European were given from eighteen months to three years for horse stealing. Judge Gillies said that buyers of stolen horses were equally guilty, and ought to be put in the dock.
This day. Finlayson, for arson, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment.
