STRICTEST SECRECY !!! ME FSKGTJBSON may be Consulted FEES on Diseases of Young.Men, at his Private Consulting Boom (next Atkins' Printing Office), High street, Auckland. Hours: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eveoing,7tQß p.mi Descbiptivb PaMphiets Free. Diseased Nature oftentimes breaks forth in strange eruptions."—Act iii, Scene 1. TO THE PUBLIC. SOME patients suffering from nervous affections are afraid from sheer baehfu'.ness and modesty to PEBSONAILY consult a medical man—other patients have not the aelf-poaeeasion and ooolness when in the consulting room, to accurately deßcribe their symptoms —their habits of life, and the nature of the disease they suffer from. Let such persons (he or she) Bit quietly down in the privacy of their own apartments, and with calm minds describe clearly eaoh symptom of their case, a clear statement thus written, and laid before mo is, far preferable in NEEVOUS diseases to a personal consultation. Where, however, a disease is of a peculiar and exceptional character, a personal consultation may become necsssarj; but my success in correspondence is bo great, that of the thousands upon thousands whom I have treated by letter during the last 32 years, not a single mistake Las ever occurred, not a case has ever been made public—in fact the very simplicity of my system of correspondence prerents publicity. At the same time medicines are sent to my patients in euch a form as to defy detection. How many thousands have I not brought joy to ? How many have been enabled to enter into the marriage state through consulting me ? How many after marriage have privately consulted me and been bleßsed and their married lives made fruitful and happy. How many wasted ruined youths of both sexes have also been restored to health, and thanked their manhood, for having consulted me by letter. How many questions arise whpre the family physician la unable to unravel the case and where often the patient lingers on, not duriog to tell his family medical adviser the nature of his complaint, until consumption wasting, or mental diseases, set in and the sufferer gets beyond the curiable stage, and is left a hopeless wreck. A letter written in the privacy of the room and dropped in the post box reaches me quietly ; ttie answer is returned as quietly and unostentatiously, and the patient, without stepping from his chamber, except to post his letter, is by return of post put in full possession of the nature of his case. His hopes are rrised his doubts removed, and he is comparatively a new man ; in fact, in many cases, a new being altogether. The only addition to the ordinary written letter is the age occupation, habits and symptoms, nothing more. The usual consultation fee of £1 (one pound) must be enclosed, otherwise no answer will be returned. There are thousands of cases in daily life whore a consultation with one at a distance vvj.ll remove by a single letter a great fear, a great care, and it often solves what appears as an impenetrable mystery. Many a sad heart has been made joyful on receipt of an explanatory letter from me. To thoso who are about to marry, I would say consult me before doing so, and thus prevent many after troubles, and remove many unnecessary fears and prejudices; to those, more especially, who have suffered in early years from disease, or who have yielded to their passions. To these I say, at once, consult with me, do not tarry, delays are dangerous, and as an export, my time may not be always at your service, you can, by ismply enclosing one pound, have the benefit of my experience in the same manner as if I lived in your town, and with the additional advantage of thorough privaoy.—Yours, truly, LOUIB L. SMHDH. Address — DR L. L. SMITH. 182 COLLINS STREET BAST Melbourne. CONSULTATION PEE BY lETTEK, £1. Fee for personal Consultation, £1 1. The latter is inclusive of Medioine. Medicines forwarded, well-packed, to all the Colonies, India and Europe. 182, CoiIJHS BTBESX EAST, M»IBOTOKK.
